Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 31, 2026

Our Simple Promise

We built Daily Brain Tools because we wanted simple, free online tools that respect your privacy. This privacy policy is written in plain English to explain exactly what we do (and don't do) with your information.

The Short Version:

We don't collect, store, or see any of the data you enter into our tools. Everything happens in your browser. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information. We use basic analytics to see which tools are popular, and we may show ads to keep the site free.

What Data You Enter Into Our Tools

When you use our tools—whether you're calculating your GPA, generating a QR code, creating a meme, or using any other tool—all of that happens entirely in your web browser.

Here's what that means:

  • ✅ Your GPA scores never leave your device
  • ✅ Your QR code content is never sent to our servers
  • ✅ Your meme text stays on your computer
  • ✅ Your sleep schedule calculations are private
  • ✅ Everything you type or generate is yours alone

We literally cannot see what you're doing with our tools because the data never reaches us. It's all processed locally using JavaScript in your browser.

What We Actually Collect

We're being completely honest here. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. This helps us know which tools are popular and which pages need improvement.

Google Analytics Collects:

  • Which pages you visit (like "GPA Calculator" or "QR Code Generator")
  • How long you stay on each page
  • What device you're using (phone, tablet, computer)
  • Your browser type (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
  • General location (country and city, not your exact address)
  • How you found us (Google search, direct link, etc.)

What Google Analytics does NOT collect:

  • ❌ Your name
  • ❌ Your email address
  • ❌ Your exact IP address (we anonymize it)
  • ❌ What you type into our tools
  • ❌ Any personal information

Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files) to track visits. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

To keep Daily Brain Tools completely free, we may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Here's how that works:

  • Google may show you ads based on your interests (from your browsing history across the web)
  • Google uses cookies to remember what kinds of ads you've seen
  • We don't control which ads are shown—Google does
  • We never share your personal information with advertisers (because we don't have any!)

Don't want personalized ads? You can opt out by visiting Google's Ads Settings or use an ad blocker.

Cookies

Cookies are tiny text files stored on your device. We use them minimally:

  • Essential cookies: Help the website work properly (like remembering your preferences)
  • Analytics cookies: From Google Analytics to track page views
  • Advertising cookies: From Google AdSense to show relevant ads

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the website might not work properly.

We Don't Sell Your Data

We will never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. Period. We don't have a business model based on selling data. Our goal is to provide helpful free tools, and we make money (if any) through ads—not by selling your information.

No Accounts, No Registration

You don't need to create an account or register to use any of our tools. We don't ask for your email, phone number, or any personal details. Just visit the site and use the tools—that's it.

Security

Since we don't collect or store your personal data, there's very little risk to your privacy. The data you enter into our tools stays on your device. We use standard security practices to protect our website from hackers and malicious attacks.

Children's Privacy

Our tools are safe for everyone, including students. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since our tools work in your browser and don't require registration, there's no personal data being collected.

Your Rights

Even though we don't collect much data, you still have rights:

  • Right to know: You can ask what data we have (spoiler: almost nothing)
  • Right to delete: You can ask us to delete any data (though we don't store personal data)
  • Right to opt-out: You can disable cookies or use ad blockers
  • Right to complain: If you're in the EU, you can contact your data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@dailybraintools.com.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle privacy (which we don't plan to), we'll update this page and change the "Last Updated" date at the top. We recommend checking back occasionally, but honestly, we're committed to keeping things simple and private.

For European Users (GDPR)

If you're visiting from Europe, you have extra privacy rights under GDPR. Here's what you should know:

  • We don't collect personal data: Since our tools work in your browser, we don't process your personal information
  • Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps anonymous data for up to 26 months (we set this to the minimum)
  • Legal basis: We use "legitimate interest" to run analytics (to improve our free tools)
  • Your rights: You can request data deletion, opt out of cookies, or file a complaint with your country's data protection authority
  • Data transfers: Google Analytics may transfer data to the US, but it's anonymized

To exercise your GDPR rights, email us at info@dailybraintools.com.

For California Users (CCPA)

If you're in California, the CCPA gives you specific privacy rights. Here's the honest truth:

  • We don't sell your data: We have never sold personal information and never will
  • What we collect: Only anonymous analytics (page views, device type, general location)
  • Right to know: You can ask what data we have (it's just anonymous analytics)
  • Right to delete: You can request deletion of any data
  • No discrimination: We treat everyone the same, regardless of privacy choices

To exercise your CCPA rights, email us at info@dailybraintools.com.

Why We Care About Privacy

We created Daily Brain Tools because we were frustrated with websites that ask for too much information, track everything you do, and sell your data to advertisers.

Our philosophy is simple: Build useful tools that work in your browser, don't collect unnecessary data, and be completely transparent about what we do collect.

We make money (if any) through ads—not by selling your information. Your privacy matters to us because we're users too, and we hate invasive tracking as much as you do.
